About Us
Our Lady of Sorrows is a warm and loving school “home” where your child will blossom and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. OLS maintains the history and tradition of the rigorous set of curriculum standards you’ve come to expect from an exemplary Catholic school, while including modern day excellence through utilizing best practices in education. We welcome students of all backgrounds and faiths to experience our comprehensive education of the “whole child”; mind, body and spirit, providing students a deep sense of faith and moral character development. Our Catholic faith is at the heart of every subject we teach at OLS as we instill in each child the value of service to others. We support and respect the uniqueness of each student as we work in partnership with parents to help their children reach their God-given potential and set a strong foundation of life-long success in learning. OLS is a great place to grow up!

- We promote active loyalty to God, Church, and country.
- We teach sound Catholic doctrine and encourage the living of this teaching.
- We work closely with parents in their vocation of nurturing the faith development of their children.
- We foster an attitude toward discipline as a relationship with the teacher, compassionately sharing wisdom with the student in a way that fosters the self-control necessary to learn and adjust behavior appropriately.
- We provide a dedicated faculty whose members are committed to assisting students in the learning process and are involved in academic, athletic and social extracurricular activities.
- We provide a highly competent faculty whose members possess academic and professional credentials which meet or exceed the standards established by the Archdiocese of Detroit and the State of Michigan.
